The Process

01. Submit Your Inquiry

Tell me about your vision, symbolism, inspiration, desired materials, and any important details for your commission.

02. Review

Each proposal is thoughtfully reviewed within one week.

If your commission is accepted, you'll receive a personalized quote, an estimated timeline, and instructions for reserving your place in the commission calendar.

03. Reserve Your Commission

Submit your 50% non-refundable deposit to secure your commission.

04. Design

I'll develop an original design inspired by your submission.

You'll receive sketches and a proposed design direction for review before fabrication begins.

05. Creation

Once the design has been approved, your jewelry will be handcrafted over approximately 3–4 weeks.

06. Delivery

After the remaining balance has been paid, your finished heirloom will be carefully packaged and shipped to you.

FAQ

Can you recreate a piece from another artist?

No. Reference images are welcome for inspiration, but every Venusian commission is an original design created through my own artistic practice.

Do you offer engagement or wedding jewelry?

Yes, if the project aligns with the Venusian aesthetic and current studio availability.

Can I request changes after the design is approved?

One round of design refinements is included before fabrication begins. Additional revisions or significant changes may require additional design fees and may extend the production timeline.

Do you work in gold?

At this time, Venusian primarily creates bespoke commissions in sterling silver, bronze, and brass. Gold may become available for select commissions when appropriate.

Can custom rings be resized?

To preserve the integrity of each bespoke piece, custom rings cannot be resized after completion. Please have your finger professionally sized before submitting your commission inquiry.

Commission Availability

To preserve the quality and craftsmanship of every piece, Venusian accepts one bespoke commission per month.

If my current commission calendar is full, you're welcome to join the Venusian Atelier List. You'll be contacted when the next commission opening becomes available.

Investment

Bespoke commissions begin at $350.

The final investment is determined by the complexity of the design, materials, gemstones, and labor required.

Once your inquiry has been reviewed, you'll receive:

• Instructions for reserving your commission

No work will begin until your proposal has been approved and your deposit has been received.

Deposit

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your commission and begin the design process.

Your deposit secures your place in the commission calendar and covers the time devoted to design development, material sourcing, and studio preparation.

Production will not begin until the deposit has been received.

The remaining balance is due prior to shipment.

Design Process

After your deposit has been received, I'll begin developing an original design inspired by your submission.

You'll receive sketches and a proposed design direction for review before fabrication begins.

One round of design refinements is included to ensure the piece feels true to your vision.

A refinement includes minor adjustments to the approved design before fabrication begins.

Additional revisions or significant design changes after approval may require additional design fees and may extend the production timeline.

All preliminary sketches, concepts, and design proposals remain the intellectual property of Venusian unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

Inspiration Images

You're welcome to upload inspiration images that communicate the mood, symbolism, textures, colors, or overall feeling you're drawn to.

These images are used as creative inspiration only.

Venusian does not recreate, duplicate, or replicate the work of other artists, designers, or brands. Every commission is an original design created exclusively through the Venusian creative process.

Timeline

Most commissions are completed within approximately 3–4 weeks following design approval.

Please note that highly detailed designs, specialty gemstones, or material sourcing may extend this timeline.

If your commission has a specific deadline, please mention it in your inquiry, and I'll let you know if I can accommodate your request.

Communication

I'll keep you informed at key milestones throughout the commission process.

To help keep your project on schedule, please provide feedback on sketches within 7 days of receiving them. Delays in communication may affect your estimated completion date.

Materials

Every Venusian piece is handcrafted using thoughtfully selected materials selected for their beauty, symbolism, and harmony with each design.

If a requested gemstone or material becomes unavailable during production, I'll contact you to discuss comparable alternatives before moving forward.

Because every piece is handcrafted, slight variations are a natural part of the making process and contribute to the uniqueness of each commission.

Ring Sizing

If your commission includes a ring, please have your finger professionally sized before submitting your inquiry.

To preserve the integrity of each bespoke piece, custom rings cannot be resized after completion.

Final Payment & Shipping

Once your commission is complete, you'll receive photographs of the finished piece along with an invoice for the remaining balance.

Your piece will be carefully packaged and shipped after the remaining balance has been paid in full.

Returns & Cancellations

Because each commission is created specifically for you, all bespoke pieces are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.

If you choose to cancel your commission after the design process has begun, your 50% non-refundable deposit will be retained to cover design time, materials, and reserved studio availability.

Portfolio & Photography

I may photograph completed commissions for my portfolio, website, and social media unless otherwise requested.

If your commission is intended as a surprise gift or you'd prefer it remain private, please let me know, and I'll be happy to accommodate your request.
